Softball Recap: Madras Takes a Loss

Madras had lost seven straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 3-12 to make it eight. They came up short against the Crook County Cowboys, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the White Buffaloes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Crook County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Crook County's part, Chloe McKenzie was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave McKenzie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kya Mozingo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Madras is set to face off against their familiar foe Estacada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Crook County will take on rival Gladstone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
