The Monticello Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Eldred as Monticello made off with a 41-19 victory. That 41-19 margin sets a new team best for Monticello this season.
Amiah Neails continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Monticello's points. Isabella Velasquez was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Eldred, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Warwick at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st.
