Recap: Morgan Trojans vs. Ben Lomond Scots
There's no place like home for the Morgan Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on Ben Lomond with a sharp 82-59 victory on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ben Lomond's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malakai Mack, who scored 16 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mack has scored all season. Jake East was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Morgan now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Ben Lomond, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
Morgan will square off against Judge Memorial Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Judge Memorial Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 556 points over their last eight matches. As for Ben Lomond, they will head out on the road to challenge Summit Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Ben Lomond focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
