The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints managed a 59-53 victory over the Hampton Roads Academy Navigators thanks in part to Gilliatt, who went 11 for 15 on his way to 26 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. His evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Howard Casterlow was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six assists and six boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Hampton Roads Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
