Soccer Recap: La Salle Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times La Salle and Connell had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Lightning came up short against the Eagles on Friday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, La Salle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Connell are ranked 96th).

La Salle's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Connell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

La Salle and Connell will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Lightning see the pitch they'll take on Warden at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Connell, their break will end when they face Granger at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
