Lithia Springs took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They blew past the Columbia Eagles 39-0.

Ty'Tianna Ritman was nothing short of spectacular: she threw for 101 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes, and also punched in two scores on the ground.

Another reason for the win was Lithia Springs' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. Calayah Mongomery was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up five herself.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lithia Springs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-0 win against Kennesaw Mountain on the 2nd. As for Columbia, after both having extra time off, they and Stephenson will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on the 20th.
