Baseball Recap: Bowler Finds Home Field Redemption Against Gresham Community

There's no place like home for Bowler, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They never let the Gresham Community Wildcats get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Treyvon Granquist made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Windorski, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Windorski is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Mason Kolpack was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Bowler's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Gresham Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bowler will take on rival Marion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Gresham Community is set to square off against their familiar foe White Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
