Football Recap: Gadsden County Drops Season-High Score on Lincoln + How To Watch

Gadsden County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They fell 30-21 to the Lincoln Trojans. On the bright side, the 21- point effort marked the Jaguars' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Despite the loss, Gadsden County still got an impressive performance from Ashton Callahan, who rushed for 118 yards and one TD on only 15 carries.

As for Lincoln, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games.

Lincoln had a senior duo take command as Tadarius Huggins rushed for 113 yards and one score and Taylor Jacobs Jr threw for 121 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those 113 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Huggins. Will Tawney was in the mix as well, providing Lincoln with two TDs.

Gadsden County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 20-19 victory against Florida State University High School on the 10th. As for Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-28 win against Chiles on the 10th.
