Center Moriches is 9-1 against John Glenn since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Devils will face off against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Center Moriches hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Center Moriches fell victim to Bayport-Blue Point and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Phantoms.

Rich Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

Meanwhile, John Glenn came into Friday's match having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Southampton by a score of 5-2 on Friday.

John Glenn also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Andrew Dunn gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. Dunn has become a key player for the Knights: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Dillon DeRiggi was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Hunter Klinger-Cooley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Center Moriches' loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for John Glenn, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-14.

Center Moriches was able to grind out a solid victory over John Glenn when the teams last played back in April, winning 10-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
