Softball Recap: San Tan Foothills Comes Up Short

San Tan Foothills fell victim to Bourgade Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Golden Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Sabercats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

San Tan Foothills has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. Bourgade Catholic's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Tan Foothills will venture away from home to challenge Northwest Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bourgade Catholic, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles face off against Empire Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Empire will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Bourgade Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
