Soccer Game Preview: Manatee vs. Palmetto + Official Tickets

Manatee is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Palmetto Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Manatee is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Braden River on Monday. Neither the Hurricanes nor the Pirates could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Palmetto was not quite Lakeland Christian's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0.

Palmetto now has a losing record of 0-1-1. Manatee's draw gives them a new season record of 1-0-1.

Manatee was able to grind out a solid victory over Palmetto when the teams last played back in January, winning 2-0. Will the Hurricanes repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
