Softball Recap: Country Christian Cougars vs. Colton Vikings

If Country Christian was feeling good off their 19-6 takedown of Kennedy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Country Christian Cougars fell 15-10 to the Colton Vikings on Monday.

For Colton's part, Gracie Hakes made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off 12 hits. Hakes was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
