Fairfax came tearing into Thursday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Central Bobcats with a sharp 16-4 victory. The Stampede might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by 12 runs or more this season.
Sariyah Villalpando made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Ashlyn Olson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reilley Bledsoe, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Fairfax was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Fairfax's record is now 13-6. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.
