Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

If Central was feeling good fresh off their 71-34 takedown of Plattsburg last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Central Blue Eagles were dealt an 87-31 defeat at the hands of the Rock Bridge Bruins on Tuesday. The contest marked the Blue Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Central's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for Rock Bridge, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Central and Southeast will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central is facing Southeast at the right time seeing as Southeast is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Rock Bridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-48 defeat against Park Hill on the 19th.
