A Season-Best Performance from Sam Hunt Leads Sound Christian over Taholah
Sam Hunt produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sound Christian to the win on Friday. Hunt rushed for 297 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.
The victory got Sound Christian back to even at 4-4. Hunt and Sound Christian will square off against Wahkiakum at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Jack Strange Delivers Electric Effort Vs Ocosta
Jack Strange was instrumental in extending Naselle's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Strange as he rushed for 185 yards and five touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 41 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September.
Ocosta's probably not too fond of Strange given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Strange saw the Wildcats), he rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 44 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Naselle was led to victory by Caiden Burke, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Burke rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.

Wahkiakum picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jayden Stoddard. Nobody could stop Stoddard as he threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played.
On the season, Stoddard has thrown 27 touchdowns (and and only 5 picks) while averaging 210.6 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 6.25 passing yards per game.
