Basketball Recap: Evangel Christian Takes a Loss

Evangel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 71-56 to the Larue County Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Hawks are ranked 49th).

Evangel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Larue County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Larue County, they will take on Elizabethtown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Larue County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
