Basketball Recap: Floodwood Takes a Loss

Floodwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 44th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 124-31 loss at the hands of the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Vikings are ranked 159th).

Floodwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

Coming up, Floodwood will square off against McGregor at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-47 victory against Nashwauk-Keewatin on the 11th.
