Durango lost a close one when they played on Friday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Saturday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 13-2 defeat at the hands of the Grand Junction Tigers. Durango has not had much luck with Grand Junction recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Durango saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Rose, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
On Grand Junction's side, the team relied heavily on Sean Witt, who went 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs. Zyler Fazzi was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
Durango's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Grand Junction, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Durango will head out on the road to challenge Palisade at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
