Softball Recap: Corsicana Comes Up Short

Corsicana came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-6 to the Midlothian Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Corsicana's loss dropped their record down to 7-14-1. As for Midlothian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Corsicana will square off against rival Red Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Midlothian is set to take on their familiar foe Crandall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
