Softball Recap: Hamilton Victorious

Hamilton took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Los Angeles CES, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yankees had just enough and edged out the Unicorns 9-8 on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Yankees: when they faced off against the Unicorns back in April, they had to take a 8-0 defeat.

Hamilton got a massive performance out of Marlena Gauff, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Gauff a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mary Daniels, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hamilton lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Hamilton now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Los Angeles CES, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Hamilton will welcome Fairfax at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yankees are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on an 18-game losing streak. Los Angeles CES does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
