Volleyball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Covenant Christian Academy duked it out with Boston Trinity Academy on Monday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Lions.

Covenant Christian Academy couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Boston Trinity Academy a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 34-32, 25-15, 19-25, 25-20.

Leanna Rothier paced Covenant Christian Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Rothier got some help from Grace Motroni and her 21 assists. Rothier was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Covenant Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Boston Trinity Academy, their record now sits at 2-0.

Coincidentally, Covenant Christian Academy and Boston Trinity Academy will both be playing Cambridge the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Gryphons at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
