Soccer Game Preview: River Ridge vs. Mitchell

River Ridge hasn't had much luck against Mitchell recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The River Ridge Royal Knights will square off against the Mitchell Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. River Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

River Ridge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Wesley Chapel on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

River Ridge's goal came courtesy of Dylan Fee, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Mitchell had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 6-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 12 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Mitchell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which lines up perfectly with their 13-1-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those eight games. As for River Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
