Basketball Recap: Dylan Franklin and Lebron Mckelvy Secure Win for Crandall

Crandall won the last time they faced Ennis and things went their way on Friday too. The Crandall Pirates walked away with a 65-52 win over the Ennis Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Leading Crandall to victory were Lebron Mckelvy and Dylan Franklin. Mckelvy went 10 for 15 en route to 25 points and four steals, while Franklin went 8 of 14 on his way to 21 points. With that strong performance, Franklin is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jaidan Hall, who posted two points along with five assists and four steals.

Crandall's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Ennis, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Crandall will square off against Terrell at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ennis, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ennis Lions face off against the Midlothian Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
