Softball Recap: Jacksonville Takes a Loss

Jacksonville lost against Texas back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Jacksonville came up short against Texas, falling 16-1. The Fightin' Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacksonville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gretchen Ault, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Texas, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.

Jacksonville will be playing at home against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Texas, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Texas Tigers duke it out with Lufkin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lufkin will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Texas surely won't give up without a fight.
