Baseball Game Preview: Eastern Ramblers vs. Bell Griffins

The Eastern Ramblers will head out on the road to challenge the Bell Griffins at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastern has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eastern is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Washington Latin Public Charter School, who was ranked ninth at the time (Eastern was ranked eighth). The Ramblers came up short against the Lions on Saturday, falling 19-6. The Ramblers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Bell fell victim to Georgetown Day and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 17-0 to the Mighty Hoppers. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bell now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1.

Everything went Eastern's way against Bell when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Eastern made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ramblers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
