Basketball Recap: Jace Pichler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Douglass over Marion

Douglass played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Marion Warriors, falling 62-39. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jace Pichler, who posted 11 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Moore, who went 5 of 11 en route to 11 points.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Marion, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Douglass will face off against Kingman on Friday. Douglass is facing Kingman at the right time seeing as Kingman is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Marion, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-41 defeat against Rural Vista [Hope/White City] on the 25th.
