Recap: Northeast Eagles vs. Meade Mustangs
The Northeast Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight defeat. They lost to Meade at home by a decisive 48-30 margin. Northeast has not had much luck with Meade recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Northeast's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brynn Jones, who scored 13 points along with four steals, and Madison Burris who scored eight points along with four blocks. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Northeast dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Meade, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.
Northeast will be playing at home against Annapolis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meade, they will head out on the road to face off against Old Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meade has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
