Softball Game Preview: Tippecanoe Red Devils vs. Spring Valley Timberwolves

The Tippecanoe Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Spring Valley Timberwolves at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tippecanoe will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

While Tippecanoe didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Hilliard Davidson on Friday.

Meanwhile, Spring Valley entered their tilt with St. Albans on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Red Dragons by a score of 9-6.

The team relied heavily on Laykin Adkins, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kate Spry also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Tippecanoe's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Spring Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
