Lynchburg-Clay hasn't had much luck against Peebles recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Lynchburg-Clay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Lynchburg-Clay lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Zane Trace, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 7-1 victory on Saturday. The Mustangs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd (when they won 19-8).

The team relied heavily on Kami Collins, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Lily Ferguson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Lynchburg-Clay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zane Trace only posted a batting average of .045.

Meanwhile, Peebles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwest.

The win made it two in a row for Lynchburg-Clay and bumps their season record up to 10-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Peebles, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
