Kadarius Matthews Game Report: @ Varnado

Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Kadarius Matthews: he recorded his first sack on Friday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He also made three total tackles (1.0 for loss), helping propel Slaughter Community Charter past Varnado by a score of 43-0. We hope Friday's contest is the first of many we'll see posted here as the season progresses.

Coming up, Matthews and Slaughter Community Charter will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Morgan City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will enter the matchup having just beaten Berwick, so the Knights will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
