Basketball Game Preview: New Prairie Cougars vs. LaVille Lancers

The New Prairie Cougars will challenge the LaVille Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

New Prairie is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Penn on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. New Prairie was outmatched by Penn and fell 69-11. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

LaVille has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elkhart Christian Academy on Saturday.

LaVille's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for New Prairie, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

New Prairie came up short against LaVille in their previous meeting on January 3rd, falling 39-30. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of LaVille's Brooke Edison, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 12 boards, and 12 steals.
