Rusty Hatch Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Rusty Hatch produced his most outstanding game to date while leading North Gem to the win on Friday. Hatch rushed for 223 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.3 rushing touchdowns per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Unfortunately for Mackay, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Hatch. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Hatch saw the Miners), he rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns.

Craig Yost Dazzles in North Gem Victory

Craig Yost posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 264 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Mackay's probably not too fond of Yost given he always seems to get the better of them. When Yost last faced the Miners back in September of 2023, he rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

While Watersprings might've come up empty on Friday, Korban Nelson wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Nelson as he threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns.

Watersprings is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. Nelson's next contest is against Rockland on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.
