Football Recap: South Brunswick Comes Up Short at Home Against Robbinsville

South Brunswick unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Robbinsville Ravens on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Gavin Yablonowitz had an outrageously good game for Robbinsville as he threw for 383 yards and five TDs while completing 77.1% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Yablonowitz a new career-high. Alex Giordano was Yablonowitz's top target, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Brunswick will challenge North Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Robbinsville, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Hopewell Valley Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
