Basketball Recap: Dickinson Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dickinson had won three straight games and David Chong did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Dickinson Gators came out on top against the Clear Lake Falcons by a score of 69-62 thanks in part to Chong, who went 7 for 12 en route to 23 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Clear Lake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julien Barclay, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Zerach Scoville, who went 7 for 12 en route to 22 points.

Dickinson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Clear Lake, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season.

Dickinson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 85-44 win against Brazoswood on the 25th. As for Clear Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-45 victory against Deer Park on the 25th.
