Volleyball Recap: Leyton Comes Up Short

Leyton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Banner County Wildcats. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17.

Auvi Cranmore paced Leyton's offense, picking up five kills. Cranmore got some help from Macey Roelle and her eight assists. Aspen Snyder controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Karlye Dittbenner had a dynamite game For Banner County., getting 16 digs and three aces. Those 16 digs gave Dittbenner a new career-high.

Leyton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Banner County, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

Leyton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Creek Valley on the 2nd. As for Banner County, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against South Platte on the 2nd.
