Burney waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Redding Christian Lions get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. Considering the Raiders have won four games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Mia Perez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
