Soccer Recap: Telluride Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Telluride can now relate to. They fell just short of the Crested Butte Titans by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Telluride couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Enzo Zago, which was the first he's scored this season.

Telluride's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Crested Butte, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2-1.

Telluride does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crested Butte, they will be playing at home against Salida at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crested Butte's defense better be ready for this one: Salida have averaged an impressive 4.8 goals per game this season.
