Basketball Recap: Mapleton Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Mapleton waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They beat Crow/City First Christian Academy by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 55-23. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 36-31 back in January.

Mapleton pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Crow/City First Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mapleton will venture away from home to square off against McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mapleton is facing McKenzie at the right time seeing as McKenzie is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Crow/City First Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Siletz Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
