Soccer Recap: Fenwick Gets the Win

Fenwick had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros on Monday. Luca Ponzio had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Fenwick got from the refs.

Fenwick hit Cristo Rey Jesuit with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gabe Wasson-Farran, Nathaniel Sabatino, and Matt Simon.

Looking ahead, Fenwick will be taking part in a tournament against Chicago University at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will face off against Chicago Hope Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
