Not much got past RUIZ MADELYNN, who gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Jay off the board. MADELYNN has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, SORAYA TORRES was incredible, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of MARTINEZ LAUREN, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

TORRES wasn't the only one working in the home run department: McCollum lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southside). They blew past Southwest Legacy 20-10 on Friday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Brisa Escobar was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Valeria Sanchez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

McCollum pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Southside, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Southside's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. McCollum has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Southside, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 strikeouts. Will McCollum keep running through batters, or will Southside buck the trend?

McCollum skirted past Southside 6-4 in their previous matchup back in February. Does McCollum have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
