Baseball Recap: Newman Comes Up Short

Newman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-0 to the Auburndale Apaches. If the Fighting Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Apaches when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Auburndale, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Coming up, Newman will head out to take on Phillips at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Auburndale, they will face off against Tomahawk at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
