Basketball Recap: Menendez Comes Up Short

Menendez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 57-26 loss at the hands of the Beachside Barracudas. The Falcons lost against the Barracudas in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 63-61 score last time.

Beachside found their leader in sophomore Jackson Moore, who posted 11 points and six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for Moore. Michael Rocco was another key player, putting up four points along with four blocks and three steals.

Menendez's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Beachside, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Menendez will take on Palatka at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. Beachside has already played their next game (against Englewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
