Softball Recap: Soledad Aztecs vs. Anzar Hawks

Soledad can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Anzar Hawks a 7-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for Soledad.

Aubrey Esparza was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Esparza was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Sophia Gonzalez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, a run, and a double. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Velarde, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

Soledad pushed their record up to 13-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Anzar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.
