Red Hook lost against Roosevelt back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Hook Raiders fell just short of the Roosevelt Presidents by a score of 3-2.
Red Hook took Roosevelt into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 23-25, 23-25, 17-15.
Abbey Greenspan was a one-man wrecking crew for Roosevelt as she had 28 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Greenspan has posted since back in September.
Red Hook's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Roosevelt, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Red Hook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roosevelt, they will square off against Mount Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Academy is coming into the contest with eight straight victories on the road, so Roosevelt will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
