Soccer Game Preview: Westland Hialeah vs. Southwest

The Westland Hialeah Wildcats will challenge the Southwest Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westland Hialeah's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Westland Hialeah is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against South Miami on Friday. Westland Hialeah fell just short of South Miami by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwest). They never let Sunset onto the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Southwest's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10. As for Westland Hialeah, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-2.

Westland Hialeah came up short against Southwest in their previous matchup back in January of 2021, falling 2-0. Can Westland Hialeah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
