Silverton entered their tilt with South Albany on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Redhawks get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Madalynn Ehrens, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Paisley Rains was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Silverton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 12.2.

Silverton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Albany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
