Arkadelphia scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Nashville, 56-42. At the time, the Scrappers was ranked 19th in the state, while the Badgers was 36th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Nashville, who took down 19th ranked Nashville, 56-42.
The Scrappers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joel Hendry threw for 328 and four touchdowns and LaVonte Thomas had 155 yards receiving. On the ground Jakaree Gaines chipped in 114 yards. Gaines helped Nashville's passing attack out by catching four balls for 65 yards.
Starnes York made the biggest impact on defense this week as Ashdown beat Robinson. The 6-foot-0 sophomore forced one fumble and grabbed two sacks.
Nashville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Scrappers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hendry has thrown for 1338 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Donyell King has 22 catches for 357 yards. Gaines leads the league in rushing with 287 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Senators take on Malvern. Robinson is currently in fifth, while the Leopards are in first.
The Panthers were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, Ashdown defeated Todd Eskola's team 49-0.
