Boardman is 9-1 against Harding since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Boardman will be playing in front of their home fans against Harding at 5:00 p.m.

Boardman is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 8-1 to Hoover on Friday.

Boardman got a good showing from Collin Resetar, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, Resetar gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Landon Whippo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tyler Kirlik, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Harding took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Everything went their way against Bristol as Harding made off with an 11-5 win.

Gummy Hart made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hart was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Khalef Freeman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Jacob Borsic was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Harding hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bristol struck out eight times.

Boardman took their victory against Harding in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0. Does Boardman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harding turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
