Softball Recap: St. Marys Has No Trouble Against Sherman

St. Marys never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past the Sherman Tide 7-0. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Tide: they've now won four in a row.

Sherman's batters probably weren't too happy with Cali Masters, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 19 Ks (she gave up five walks). Those 19 strikeouts gave Masters a new career-high.

At the plate, Brylee McGrady was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Landry Riggs, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

St. Marys' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sherman, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Marys will take on Tug Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sherman, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on St. Joseph Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
