Soccer Game Preview: Roma vs. Mission

The Roma Gladiators are taking a road trip to face off against the Mission Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Roma's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Roma managed to keep up with Mission Veterans Memorial until halftime on January 14th, but things quickly went downhill from there. Roma came up short against Mission Veterans Memorial, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Mission was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Juarez-Lincoln. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Huskies are ranked 188th).

Roma's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mission, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1.
